I am Isabella Carunungan, a Child and Adolescent Clinical Mental Health Counselor Student at Northwestern University. My professional goal would be to provide high-quality care to the most vulnerable of children and families through affordable and accessible means. I hope to contribute to the therapeutic healing process of those who have suffered due to systemic racism, discrimination, social injustice, or other life-changing experiences.
I prefer to take an attachment-based, psychodynamic, or cognitive-behavioral approach to provide the opportunity for promoting wellness, growth, self-compassion, and empowerment through a unique therapeutic relationship. I am educated through a CACREP-accredited master's program and have in-depth experiences working with marginalized populations.
I acknowledge the difficulty and courage it takes to seek out professional counseling. Even if skeptical, I hope to provide clients opportunities to better understand themselves and reach their full potential.
