Good Supervision comes from having a safe and supportive environment in which the supervisee can continue to grow by building their skills. This allows the Clinician to enhance the services provided to the client along with aiming to support clinician in learning.
Furthermore, Supervision is a joint effort supported by both parties. My expectations from a Supervisee include coming to supervision with a prepared agenda to help facilitate our time together, staying focused on concerns that may affect client and keeping in mind activities that are going well and what needs improvement.
As a person-centered provider, I deliver the same empathy, genuineness and unconditional positive regard that define my therapy practice. My hope is to provide a nurturing environment for the supervisee to shape, develop and build their own preferences for the way they will practice for themselves.
